A turn of the century (20th) company town in the Pinelands National Reserve, it was once the center of a huge cranberry and blueberry farming operation. It is now a historic site and recreational area with hiking, biking, canoeing, fishing, tours, and festivals.

A 184 acre wooded tract surrounding Cedar Run Lake that is devoted to wildlife rehabilitation, habitat preservation and environmental education. Walk the nature trails to look for native animals such as hawks, fox, owls, raccoons, waterfowl and bald eagles.

350 wooded acres that are a re-creation of a traditional woodland village. There is also the American Indian Heritage Museum with art and artifacts. There is also a nature trail and gift shop.

The nation’s most decorated battleship is a floating museum on the Delaware River. Take a tour of one of the largest battleships ever built; also fondly know by her crew as “Big J.”

Exhibits of vintage aircraft, engines, vehicles, uniforms and flight memorabilia encompassing flight since 1903 to the present. There is also a research library here.

This society preserves the music of Dixieland jazz and presents Sunday afternoon concerts at the American Legion Hall in Brooklawn. There are also other venues presented here.

This 1910 Tudor mansion hosts chamber music, folk, blues, and jazz. The center also offers dance classes, piano instruction and well as instruction of other instruments.

“Old Barney” provides great views of Barnegat Bay, Long Beach Island, and island beach. There are hiking paths, picnicking, fishing, and bird watching. Migratory birds stop here to rest and feed among the lush black cherry, eastern red cedar and American holly.

Located on the banks of the Delaware River this stadium is home to the Trenton Thunder, a Class AA affiliate of the New York Yankees.

Many lenders help prospective buyers get pre-approved for a mortgage loan before the buyers begin a serious house-hunting effort. If you are in this position, give the loan officer all of the information about your assets, income, and debts so they can tell you how much you will be able to borrow under the available loan options. The loan officer will do a credit check and work with the lender to straighten out any problems with your credit rating.
Pre-approval from a lender can make you more attractive to the seller when you find the home you want. Multiple offers sometimes come in on a house, and you may find yourself competing with other buyers. In that case, it is helpful if you have included a letter from the lender with your offer stating that you have an approved loan and are, indeed, qualified to buy. This will also save you time by eliminating from consideration any homes that you would not be able to afford.
